Sweet drag race between the America's top seller and America's future top seller! Right now the Sonata is the third best selling mid-size sedan in the U.S. just overtaking the Nissan Altima last month. Hyundai is currently the worlds 4rth largest automaker and has it's sights set to overtake Toyota (#1) by 2015. With all new products and an aggressive sales strategy this is entirely possible!

2012 Hyundai Azera Photos and Video!

The new 2012 Azera will be a fresh new look on the large car segment. The new Azera will feature Hyundai's "Fluidic Sculpture" design language seen on the recent 2011 Hyundai Sonata and he upcoming 2011 Elantra. From the pictures it looks to have many upgrades from the current body style. Standard integrated bluetooth, heated and cooled front seats, hillstart control, dual power seats, and most likely motor-driven powe steering, are a few that will be exciting. However, don't be surprised if Hyundai jam-packs this sucker with more goodies that a current body style Genesis. Whish will make even Hyundai's competitors hang their heads in shame when popular magazines feature comparisons in the future. Stay tuned for official details from Hyundai, and more sneak pics. Enjoy the videos and pics we have so far!

Looks like the updated and upgraded Bluetooth system that is found in the rest of the Hyundai models with voice command, phonebook transfer, and mp3 streaming.

Looks like heated and cooled front seats. With Hyundai's recent trend it wouldn't be a stretch to assume the rear seats will be heated too - as seen in the 2011 Sonata and the 2011 Elantra

2011 Hyundai Elantra Receives Highest Residual Value Award

2011 Hyundai Elantra receives ALG's award for Highest Residual Value in the compact car class. This is amazing when you consider it competes with the likes of Corolla, Civic, and the Mazda 3, all great cars. ALG (Automotive Lease Guide) has been an authority for 40 years providing data to banks, and manufacturers for calculating residual values for consumers and leasers. (https://www.alg.com/)

The new 2011 Hyundai Elantra promises to be a game-changer just like the bigger brother Sonata. Packed with a huge list of standard features and all models achieving 40 mpg -- Hyundai delivers!

Quick Look

Performance: The Elantra get all new powertrain for 2011. A new 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine making 148 hp and 131 lb/ft torque will be standard on all Elantra trims. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available in the new Elantra and help it achieve its amazing fuel economy of 29/40 (the city mpg is better than some vehicles highway rating in this segment)

Appearance: Hyundai’s new design language “Fluidic Sculpture” has been a big hit with the Sonata and the new Tucson. The new Elantra will feature a family resemblance and also have a coupe-like profile. The sculpted lines look beautiful on paper and should look even better in person

Comfort and Convenience: Innovative segment firsts are found on the Elantra like heated front AND rear heated seats available on the Limited trim package. Driver’s power seat, and heated mirrors are also an unexpected bonus. Power windows, door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, and air conditioning are all standard on every Elantra trims. The interior speaks volumes about the Elantra as well. 110.4 cubic feet of interior space bests most in class and is classified as a “midsize sedan” by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). It even has more interior volume that cars much larger like the Nissan Maxima (110.0) and the VW Passat CC (109.3). The 2011 Elantra will have more interior room and trunk space than Civic or Corolla that is quite a value

2011 Hyundai Elantra
Economy: 29 miles per gallon city driving and 40 miles to the gallon highway would save a lot of money at the pump. The new Elantra also uses regular octane fuel so the savings are even better. Hyundai Elantras have been great on safety ratings and insurance premiums have been low as a reflection.
2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited 1.8-liter inline-4 engineReliability: Consumer Reports has named Elantra a “Top Pick” in its class for 4 years straight now and JD Power has also given it the #1 position for quality and predicted reliability. Hyundai’s new power train has been beefed up as well to lower maintenance cost. The new 1.8 liter implements a low noise timing chain and so there will be no more surprises at a 60k service interval. The transmission is also sealed so no fluid checks are necessary and flushes aren’t required as often. Of course Hyundai backs the Elantra with its 10 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and 5 year / 60,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty. Also, a 5 year / unlimited mile roadside assistance package with trip interruption gives you even more peace of mind.

Safety: Elantra has six standard air bags: two front, two side impact, and two side curtain air bags will keep passengers safe inside no matter what type of accident. The most exciting safety feature is the introduction of standard Electronic Stability Control. Electronic Stability Control maintains driver control in emergency maneuvers or situations. The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) maintains that 41% of all single vehicular deaths would have been avoided if equipped with ESC.

Technology: My favorite subject about the new 2011 Elantra – the tech stuff! Elantra gets standard Bluetooth on all trims. The system transfers all contacts from a smart phone so speaking a person’s name in your phonebook is all that is required. No manually entering contact information anymore! USB/AUX/iPod connectivity is standard as well. You can spend $20 on a flash drive to install some mp3s and the Elantra will play them all. Bluetooth streaming from your smart phone directly to the car’s stereo is also an awesome standard feature that allows you to play your favorite Pandora station in the Elantra. Navigation with voice command, back-up camera, push-button start, and proximity key are also some added goodies that can be optioned for.

All this with a MSRP ranging from $15,550-$22,700 (w/freight) makes the Elantra a great looking, value packed vehicle no matter how you look at it.

First 2011 will be here at the dealership in a few weeks. I will keep you posted on my first drive soon.

"U-R" the Heart of our Business!

Hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving! As I'm getting my blog up and rolling, I'd like to give a proper welcome to those of you who aren't as familiar with Murdock Hyundai.
First of all, I'd like to point out that Murdock Hyundai is the number one dealership in the Western Region, according to the Western Region Shared Sales Report by Urban Science with Participating Manufacturers. We beat our next highest competitors (396, 374, and 322) with a 688 total competitive points.

Here at Murdock Hyundai, we have a three-day "No Regrets Policy." This guarantees you an exchange if not completely satisfied within three days of purchasing your vehicle (or 150 miles, whichever comes first) for another like vehicle.

To qualify as "No Regrets Certified," every pre-owned vehicle must pass our 77 Point Inspection and five mile test drive. This will be provided to you upon request along with a free Carfax report. We also price match any new vehicle plus $200 up to three days after your purchase.

As an incentive to my loyal customers, I also offer $50 to anyone who sends in a referral that purchases a new or used vehicle. Make sure they ask for Joe Macedone or have them give me a call at 801-623-1392.
