2012 Hyundai Azera : Update w/ pics

The 2012 Azera seems to getting a bigger following every week. This car should be amazing and also change the industry entry luxury large car class. Now would be a good time to know how to read Korean!

I can however make out a few features from the pictures that we didn't know before. It looks like it will come with:

  • panoramic glass roof - which looks like the sunroof might be in the middle of the roof
  • some sort of special connectivity with an iPod
  •  Heated Steering wheel
  • Blue ambient lighting throughout the dash
  • possibly power head rest adjustments
  • push button start/stop
  • proximity key
  • standard bluetooth
  • back up camera
  • heated and cooled front seats
  • Rear heated seats seems to be a trend with the rest of Hyundai's line up so it would only be logically to assume the Azera would also feature this
  • BMW/AUDI esque halo headlights
  • Front park sensors
  • LED taillights

In Korea, the Azera will be equipped with a 2.4 4 cylinder and a 3.0 V6. Here in the States it will more than likely be strictly V6 options with an updated version of the 3.3, and maybe a 3.5 or 3.8 liter V6 for a range topper.

Prices should be similiar to what we see our current Azera at, as the current Hyundai line up would only allow for a little over lap in it's slot between the Sonata and Genesis. Expect a little price increase however with inflation, rising union costs, and my favorite - MORE TECH GOODIES!!!

This is an exciting vehicle and a much needed redesign for the current long in tooth Azera. Stay tuned for more info as I hear it! Check out my other posts about the upcoming Azera! Feel free to email me any info you might think is helpful!
