2012 Hyundai Accent Official Images and Details

Looks awesome eh? The new Accent will bow into showrooms featuring the new "fluidic sculpture" design language of the Hyundai family. Sounds like it comes with a lot of standard features that will blow the competition out of the water too! The new Accent will debut in 2011 as a 2012 model and will come in a four door sedan or five door hatch.

An all-new 1.6-litre GDI “Gamma” engine, paired with 6-speed automatic or manual transmissions will help the Accent achieve 40 mpg. This is the same engine and transmission that will be found in the Veloster.

Standard safety features like Anti-lock BrakesElectronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Traction Control System, and 6 air bags!

A best in class 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque and more interior than a Honda Civic I'm sure will appeal to a lot of econo buyers that are looking to get moving a little faster than a Yaris. Speaking of the Yaris, the new Accent's frame will be 38% stiffer, so handling will be much improved and will have a non-econo feel to it. Prices should stick around the same as they are now from the 10k-14k range. Enjoy the pictures and I'll let you know more details as they come.
