Review: 2011 Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai redesigned their new Tucson with a short production run for 2010 which sold out fast. Now in 2011 we have a much better selection of colors and packages. The new Tucson has a name to live up to, being that its predecessor was at the top of its class for, warranty, safety, quality, and gas mileage. The 2011 Tucson does not disappoint those who are looking for small CUV with ample extras.

A few of my favorite features are the Electronic Stability Control (standard), Anti-lock brakes (standard), Motor driven power steering, bluetooth with phonebook transfer, and an available Navigation with back up camera. The Tucson still gets high marks in value, safety, quality, and gas mileage. It does well with light off-roading (which 90% of the consumers will never do) and the AWD system works with the Traction Control and ESC system to keep you in good traction situations.

The drive feels great with the new 2.4 liter DOHC 4 cylinder engine (176 hp) that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The extra gears really help to keep the Tucson in the right gear to make it feel pretty peppy. The ride is smooth and the handling is agile with upgraded stabilizer bars and a MacPherson strut system up front with a mulit-link suspension in rear.
Of course, inside the cabin the Tucson doesn't fall short either against the competition. Available leather, heated seats make the winters bearable, and there is even a clean air ionizer for "stinky" situations. The cabin is roomy and the cargo area is bigger than the BMW X5 or the Infiniti FX. The Bluetooth system is one of the easiest I have used, and the voice command Navi system is an amazing feature that makes you feel like you are in Star Trek.

The Tucson also comes with "America's Best Warranty" and is one of the lowest priced in it's class to make it a great value. The new "fluidic sculpture" design language Hyundai has implemented makes the vehicle look great in any driveway. The 2011 Tucson is a "no brainer" at every angle.
