2013 Hyundai Tucson Refresh

It is about that time for Hyundai to do a freshening on its hot Tucson. I have loved Hyundai's 2.5-3 Year freshening schedule. Just when you don't think models can get better they
DOES! Updated powertrains, technology, styling, etc every 3 years or so is what keeps Hyundai at the top of it's game looking for better and best ways to bring value to the their vehicles. In the case of the Tucson I can't offer any official details but I can share speculation - TURBO!

Hyundai has thrown high MPG/ high horsepower turbo trims on the Sonata, Genesis Coupe, Veloster, and the upcoming Elantra. It makes sense that they would add a second engine option to the Tucson line-up. Base 2.0L and 2.4L non-GDi should carry over along with the 6 speed transmission. Updated technology will include Hyundai's new BlueLink telematics and may include standard back up camera or back up sensors. Also the new Tucson may have a more upgraded infotainment system found in the Veloster with Pandora and Gracenote features. There is only hope that these may find themselves tucked into the new Tucson package but if not it is already a great value and some new styling will make it even more appealing.Styling updates that can be seen look like a new grill, new headlights (probably with LED accent lighting), new taillights, and fog light arrangement. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
